Client Project: Vintage Buffet in Milk Paint

This particular piece had been in my garage for quite some time.  It was a mess!  We're talking scratches, gouges and even a great, big GREASE stain right on top!  So when a client approached me about finding and painting a buffet for her dining room, I almost shocked myself when I suggested the old mess in the back of my garage.  No sooner had the words left my mouth and she readily agreed and signed off on the quote. Once I pulled the buffet from the garage abyss and really got a look at it, I started to sweat:

We decided on a pretty blue-green, milk paint to bring out the character and vintage charm in this piece and finished it off with a rubbed coat of hemp oil.  The old hardware was switched out for simple, diamond cut glass knobs.  We think the color and finish melds perfectly with the style of the buffet and can't wait to debut the finished piece to our client!  Take a look and let us know what you think in the comments below!
